SunEnergy Managing Director Takes The Plunge to help Disadvantaged Children

On Saturday, the 28th of August, SunEnergy’s Managing Director Lee Lake will be taking part in The Adelaide City Plunge to raise money for Adelaide Charities.

The Adelaide City Plunge is an event where participants abseil 70 meters (25 storeys!!) down the InterContinental Hotel on North Terrace. It’s an opportunity for participants to challenge themselves and stand in solidarity with those in our community facing daily hardship.

The partnering charities of the Adelaide City Plunge include Ronald McDonald House Charities South Australia, HeartKids, and Puddle Jumpers. The event, held over two days, allows around 200 people to raise much-needed funds for these important community charities.

The chosen charity by Mr. Lake is Puddle Jumpers, a non-government, not-for-profit organization. Their main goal is to respond to the developmental needs of society’s most vulnerable children. They believe that “All kids matter and deserve the right to engage in happy and fun experiences in their life.” Their primary focus is helping children who do not live with their birth parents.

Some of the amazing work done by Puddle Jumpers includes:

  • Regular camps for children filled with engaging activities that help them develop their personality, skills, and education.
  • Organizing ‘Free Food Nights’ for those suffering from food insecurity.
  • Arranging birthday cakes for children who have never had a birthday cake before.
  • Assisting the community in various ways to benefit the lives of Adelaide’s most vulnerable children.

SunEnergy has previously collaborated with Puddle Jumpers. As a family-owned business, we share the belief that all kids matter! To support these incredible efforts, SunEnergy proudly donated a 3.24kW Solar System to help keep their energy bills down.

During Christmas 2020, SunEnergy partnered with FoodBank and Puddle Jumpers to provide food hampers to vulnerable families with every solar system sold!

We are proud to support Lee in his efforts to help provide vulnerable children with great childhood experiences through Puddle Jumpers!

Want to help out Lee? It will take $850 to get him to the edge of the building. However, he announced that if $2,000 is raised, he will do it in a Spiderman costume!

Let’s help raise $2,000! We want to see the Spiderman costume!
