SunEnergy strongly denies and disputes the claims alleged by the ABC on Tuesday 18 August 2020.
A copy of SunEnergy’s responses to each of the questions raised by the ABC can be accessed here.
SunEnergy spoke with Marianne prior to the report airing on the ABC. Mrs Hunn goes onto explain (regarding her SunEnergy solar installation) that “We know we made the right decision”…”We believe in solar and know we’ve gone in the right direction (in regards to the Pay As You Save program).
Mrs Hunn also responded in contradiction stating that (regarding getting solar installed) “we wanted it (solar) anyway!”
Regarding the payment plan Marianne had requested due to her inability to afford the outright purchase, she explains “we are balancing it, it’s fine, and it’s good!”
We follow strict policies and procedures to ensure that all our sales methods and practices comply with SunEnergy’s legal and regulatory obligations, but are most of all, ethical. SunEnergy does not employ high pressure sales tactics. In a statement afterwards Marianne comments on the solar consultant who sold her the system that “He was fantastic!…He was very good!”
If any prospective customer at any moment chooses not to proceed with the sales process or wishes to receive no more calls, then we immediately oblige.
SunEnergy is a family owned business that provides a service and product that is designed to help thousands of people across Australia. A properly designed and operated solar system can offset and reduce a customer’s energy bill.
SunEnergy will be completing a full technical and financial analysis of Marianne Hunn’s solar system to demonstrate the savings she has made as a result of having a solar system installed.
We are an incredibly understanding business and will do everything within our power to alleviate and address any concerns or issues that customers, like Marianne Hunn, may experience.
Given the opportunity to first resolve the concerns raised by Marianne Hunn, we would have come to an amicable resolution for all parties. SunEnergy is disappointed that Mr & Mrs Hunn never attempted to contact SunEnergy first to resolve the issue.
SunEnergy have countless testimonials and recommendations online such as 4.6 stars on Google and 4.7 stars on Solar Quotes.
Following the publication of the alleged claims on the ABC website, SunEnergy contacted Marianne Hunn and SunEnergy’s discussions with Marianne are consistent with the discussions she reportedly had with FlexiGroup (a copy of which can be accessed here)
