With ZeroHero, standard energy use is free from 11am to 2pm each day. That can help top up your battery, run appliances, or support EV charging during the day. Controlled load and dedicated circuits are excluded.
If you avoid pulling grid power between 6pm and 9pm, you can receive a $1/day credit. That is up to $365 a year. GloBird defines “zero” for this feature as less than 0.03kWh per hour from the grid during that period.
ZeroHero pays 15c/kWh on the first 15kWh/day exported between 6pm and 9pm. That gives battery owners a stronger reason to discharge into the evening window when energy is worth more.
For selected compatible battery brands, customers can also choose to join GloBird’s optional Virtual Power Plant feature, which can pay $1/kWh during wholesale price spikes. GloBird may remotely charge or discharge the battery to maximise earnings under that optional feature.
If you already have a battery, or you’re considering adding one, the right energy plan can make a real difference.
SunEnergy has partnered with GloBird to highlight ZeroHero, a battery-friendly energy plan built to help eligible households get more value from when and how their battery charges, stores and exports energy. The plan’s core features work with any battery brand, while selected compatible systems can also access the optional Virtual Power Plant feature.
It is about what that storage helps you do.
For many homes, the biggest opportunity is using energy more intelligently across the day:
That is exactly why ZeroHero stands out.
ZeroHero is still relevant if you are planning to add a battery soon.
If you already have solar but no battery yet, SunEnergy can help you explore:
Get free standard energy use from 11am to 2pm to top up your battery, run appliances, or support EV charging.
Avoid grid use between 6pm and 9pm and you may receive a $1/day credit, up to $365 a year.

Compatible battery systems can opt into GloBird’s VPP for extra earning potential during price spikes.
When solar output is low on cloudy or rainy days, you can still top up your battery from the grid during the free 11am to 2pm window
